Meet Kirby!
Becoming more politically aware in High School I was president of the International Relations Club and decided I would go into Social Services and, if not save the world, I would save a few disadvantaged families.I did receive an AA in Sociology and a BA in Psychology but went on to pursue a career in Health Services Management which lasted twenty years. I was also married for twenty years and have three wonderful children.
Most of my career was spent in a community medical and dental health services corporation in the Central Valley of California. There I was able to oversee services needed by the underserved communities and assure those services were delivered with care and compassion. I have always believed the focus of customer care should be on those receiving services and support while acknowledging and rewarding all those who provide the services.
I think my background fits perfectly with the mission of Heart of the Valley and their dedication to providing the best in services and volunteer support. I am excited to be able to work with all those who have so unselfishly given of their time and hearts to assist the wonderful seniors we are privileged to know.
