Welcome Jean Reed!
In keeping with that high tech/high touch experience synonymous with the Valley, I enjoy computers and video alongside my love for family, nature, church, cooking and PBS. I also hope to have more time to edit old videos, bringing memories back to life.Exploring is also a new delight, having moved to San Jose recently. I enjoy the diversity of the Bay Area, being bi-racial and bi-cultural myself. I grew up in the Philippines. My parents worked on and off base with the US Armed Forces and Embassy. It was a time when the natural beauty of the Islands was so accessible and the people so warm. I came to the Bay Area for college and some law school. Working mostly as a legal assistant in San Francisco, I raised my daughter and commuted from Marin and Palo Alto.
Although it has been a challenge to cope with the changes the recession has wrought, I find that vulnerability brings out our humanity. My heart has always been with the one-on-one connection between individuals. That is what Heart of the Valley is all about. I am so grateful for the dedication and generosity of it’s mission, truly inspired by the Heart.
