Friendly Visitor and Phone Caller

Responsibilities

  • Volunteers visit clients who are often lonely and isolated from most social contacts. Some clients prefer a telephone visit to help keep their spirits up or to discuss the worry that they may be having.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly and caring concern for elderly.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Willing to complete reports on volunteer work.
  • Supportive of agency goals and services.

  • A good placement for those who enjoy talking on the phone and being engaging in conversations, especially listening.
