JOB DESCRIPTION
Escorted Transportation Provider

Responsibilities:

Drive seniors to medical appointments or grocery shopping, errands, social events, remaining with the senior to advocate for them with medical personnel or help with shopping and putting the groceries away as needed.
* Run errands or grocery shop for a homebound elder.
* Report number of miles driven to client.

Qualifications:
*
Friendly and caring concern for elderly.
* Own a car and have a license to drive.
* Drive a car that is easy for an elder to enter and exit.
* Maintain a current California Drivers License and a good driving record.
* Maintain a minimum of $25,000/50,000 public liability in car insurance (current state minimum) while working as a volunteer for the agency.
* Supportive of agency goals and services.

Supervisor: HOV Director

Time: Flexible, on-call basis, determined by volunteer

A good placement for those who enjoy one-to-one call contact.

All volunteers who drive on agency business, i.e., to and from agency office or client's homes, or who take clients in their automobiles must maintain a good driving record and must maintain a current California Drivers License and a minimum of $25,000/50,000 public liability in car insurance (current state minimum) at all times while working as a volunteer for the agency.
