Our Organization:
Heart of the Valley recruits dependable volunteers, who will provide seniors with a variety of in-home services, including escorted transportation. Our volunteers span all ages and professions.
Our Services:
Escorted Transportation
Heart of the Valley is one of the few agencies offering escorted transportation in our area. We will take seniors to:
- medical and business appointments
- shopping
- do errands
- hospitals to visit friends and family
- social events and activities
- cemetary visits
- escort seniors on outings

Information & Referral
Heart of the Valley links seniors to services and agencies in our community.
Client Population:
Each year Heart of the Valley provides direct services to over 500 clients. About half our clients are low-income. Eighty-five percent of our clients are women with an average age of 83 years. We serve seniors living in West Santa Clara County. Escorted transportation is our most requested service.
Staffing:
Heart of the Valley has a part-time paid Executive Director, Volunteer Coordinator and Office Manager. The Council On Aging has provided a Title V employee who works 20 hours per week as clerical support for the office. HOV volunteers also come into our office on designated days each week.
